Mama Daughter Fun

I love this girl, more than words!!

{Kaya's First X-Rays}

Kaya had her first dental appointment a few weeks ago.  She did so great. They took her X-rays and then made her brush her teeth...after they brushed her teeth they had her rinse her mouth with some hot pink mouth wash that was supposed to show any 'dirty' spots on her teeth that she missed. The lady looked in her mouth afterwards and said.... Hmmm... you must not have swished it around good enough... try it again. So she rinsed her mouth again with the hot pink mouth wash and when the hygienist looked in her mouth she said...'Wow! You must have really clean teeth.  Usually there are dark spots all over the mouth but there is nothing here!" Yay for Kaya! While she waited for the dentist she got to wear some super cool shades and play Mario Cart while she lay down in the chair.  She had no cavities and overall thought it was a pretty cool experience!

Looks like she has a couple of teeth that are getting loose so she should lose her first tooth in the next few weeks. My baby is getting so big so fast... I will miss her little baby teeth.

Those look like some monsterous adult teeth coming in! Looks like we are on our way into the 'awkward' phase. ;) (Looks like her gap will fill in though!)

That bottom one in the middle on the right is her current loose tooth. She is so excited about that!
Finally she will get to be on the board at school with all the other kids who have lost a tooth!!
Happy Days!!

{Snow Day}

This weather has been absolutely crazy this winter! So much snow... but that isn't so bad if you are 6 years old with a 5 year old cousin who gets to be watched everyday by an awesome Aunt Ashy! Thanks Ash for watching the girls everyday. I appreciate the help and I know Kaya LOVES it! They loved the snow day!!

(Dancing Again)

I just put Kaya back in dance class with Stella. She is so excited! It's a ballet, jazz and tap class. They will have a performance in March! So far, so cute!!

{BFF's For Life}

The other day, I picked up Kaya from the bus stop and she was SO anxious to get me home. As soon as we got home she had me sit on the couch and close my eyes. She then put this little hat on my head and it was a perfect fit! It's hard to see but there are two hearts on the front of the hat that she made just for me.
Next,
She had me close my eyes again, and handed me the sweetest note I've ever gotten!

Best Mom, Ever! You are my BFF!
I will cherish this note forever! I love my little BFF and feel so blessed to have her in my life. I'm glad she feels the same.

I love you Kaya! Thanks for being my little buddy!

It's the little surprises like this that make being a Mama so worthwhile! I must be doing something right... Let's just hope I can keep it up! xoxo

{Merry Christmas, Darling}

Christmas of 2012 was one of my favorites of all time. The only thing missing was my Mom. She was so sick, starting the day before Christmas Eve that she couldn't even get out of bed for the Christmas Eve or Christmas day festivities... I felt so bad for her, because she loves Christmas more than anyone I know...Even without Mom, we carried on. We did Christmas Eve at Leslie and Joe's house. We had Yummy soup and soup bowl's, We had the Nativity. Kaya was Mary, Stella was the Angel of the Lord, Max was Joseph and Ashley was the Donkey (haha). We missed Blake's kids who were with their mom this year, but we all still had a good time. Everyone exchanged their presents, we read out of the Bible, told Christmas stories and sang Christmas songs...Then went back home with the excitement of Santa Clause coming. We read 'The Night Before Christmas', Set out our stockings, We set out the cookies and milk along with some Reindeer food, said Goodbye to Buddy the Elf and put our little excited Kaya to bed with absolute dreams of sugar plums in her head... it was a magical night and an even more magical Christmas morning!

Goodbye until next year, Buddy

We woke up to the surprise that Santa had left us a very special gift at the top of the stairs. Even Mommy was surprised. It was addressed to Gregory, Whitney and Kaya. Santa wrote us a very special letter and explained the true meaning of Christmas. He gave us each a special job to do through out the year to keep Jesus in our hearts all year long. I have kept the letter and put it in my special filing box of special things to keep.

She loved her new DANCE outfit for hip hop class

Thanking Bunny for a Great Christmas!!

Someone got spoiled this year... wow!

Loving her baby and the salon from Santa
 After Christmas at our house we headed over to Bill and Rama's for Christmas breakfast and even more presents! She LOVES her Karaoke machine, doll clothes, clothes for herself, CD's, lots of candy and love!
After that she headed out with her Dad to celebrate with the Monson's, then she came back after that to celebrate at my parents house where my Mom and Dad went over and above. They got all the kids so many presents, we should have saved all of their presents for their birthdays. Spoiled kids this year! It was a great Christmas with lots of love and memories.

This Christmas just confirmed to me that I married an amazing guy! I am so proud to call him mine and I am so thankful for Kaya who brings me the spirit of Christmas every single day. I love my parents and appreciate all of their hard work and love they give to us unconditionally all the time. I am thankful for my siblings who are some of my best friends. So grateful for my life and loving every minute of it! I am thankful for the opportunity that we had to celebrate the birth of our Savior and brother Jesus Christ. Without his life that he gave to us, we would not be here.
