First Day in Nursury

Yesterday was Kaya's first day in Nursury! Mama was so excited because it was the first time in 18 months that I actually got to listen in class! Kaya loved playing with all of the new toys. The first time I went and checked on her she was sitting all by herself, emptying one box of toys into another box of toys....one by one....the second time I went to check on her she had attached herself to the male teacher (of course, she loves men!) she was holding his hand and walking around pointing at the other kids. She never cried and when I came to pick her up she wanted to show me the little slide they have in the nursury. I think she really liked it, but you wouldn't be able to tell by these pictures! She will never smile for the camera!

Easter Sunday

This was a really fun Easter because Kaya kind of understood that something fun was happening! She was so cute in her little dress that matched her little cousin Stella! She ate a little candy and played with all of the toys from the Easter Bunny! She is such a little sweetheart! She is growing up so fast, in some ways it is so fun to watch and in other ways, I just wish I could stop the clock because she is growing so fast! I hope that I can enjoy and absorb all of the wonder that she brings into this world! She is my little light and she makes me want to be a better person! I love you little Kaya!

Baby's Big Brown Eyes

A day in the park!

I took Kaya to the park!  She was mostly fascinated with the sand that she was walking on!  I could hardly get her to lift her head for a picture!  She loved walking around and pointing at all of the playground toys and laughing at them!

She just wanted to sit at the bottom of the slide for kind of a long time for a 1 year old!

Her favorite part of the park, was digging in the sand with this random stick that she found.  This occupied her time for a good 5 minutes!

Jungle Jim's - Not the experience I thought it would be!

I decided that Kaya needed to go to Jungle Jim's.  For those of you who don't know it's an indoor amusement park for tiny people.  I thought that Kaya would LOVE it, considering her fun, outgoing, adventurous little personality!  Boy, was I wrong!  She wimpered and cried in fear the entire time, making me feel like an awful mother who was trying to "make" her have a good time!  We tried several of the rides....she hated all of them, until the very last ride....the Merry go round!  That is when she managed to breath out a small little "weeee"!  She was so cute, I hope she grows out of this fear of rides one day!

Mommy is trying to make it fun, but I think the trauma was already set in by this time!

Finally when it was all said and done, I took her for a little dessert, so she wouldn't think I was the worst mom in the whole world!  She sure does love her chocolate (thanks to both grandma's!)

Shutter Speed

I love my photography class and tomorrow is my last day! I am so sad! I hope I will be able to contiune taking more classes! These are a few pixx from my Shutter Speed class. It was so much fun! Kind of weird, but really cool, I think. Yes, that's me in the pixx.
